anybody planning or wanting to get it? today at apple store, they were counting down seconds to 6 o'clock like its some damn new years, i mean damn... it is just a phone..ok maybe a little more then that but still, the line was huge.. there was ppl that sat there since the mall opened, brining chairs and everything, looking like black friday over ONE phone...so, anybody else crazy about this phone to pull that off, and another thing.. i havent even mentioned the price yet.. crazy..
It's really amazing what it can do but I find it kind of pointless. Obviously if I go somewhere I'm not gonna go there to watch YouTube videos. I'd rather save a lot of money and carry a cell and an iPod.
The AT&T store by my house had a 12 hour wait this morning. And when I went passed it at about 5:15 PM there were still fuckers waiting outside.
I would only get it if they got a contract with other companies and cut the price by half at least. After the bugs are fixed maybe. The amount of functions it has just causes me to think that it's going to have a shitload of problems. Just take the iPod as an example. And plus it's going to be a magnet for theft. I wouldn't want my whole life on the phone and have it stolen. The iPhone plays music, videos, makes phone calls, takes notes, allows internet access, has maps, and a few other things. But I have the things that do those functions and well. I have a 30GB iPod, a Sony Cybershot (iPhone can't take pictures... weird function to leave out), a Motorola PEBL (has internet connectivity; probably going to change service to Verizon soon though), a laptop, my parents have a Garmin GPS, a digital recorder (cheap $10 one) that do those things. Also, I believe LG is coming out with the Prada which is like the iPhone. I'm pretty sure Verizon has the exclusive on this one. But still, the same issues with the iPhone, the Prada might have as well.

Motorola has also had a touch screen phone out for awhile as well. The Motorola Ming. Apparantly been out for about 7-8 months. The LG Prada as I mentioned before has been out for a few weeks.HTC Touch has b een out for a few weeks as well.Lots of competitors but the Apple name really gave the iPhone huuuuuuuuuuge buzz. You'd think iPhone was the name for the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

And they won't ever sell them here either (damn AT&T not supporting North Dakota). But if you had one and came to visit here, it'd still work. Anyways, I wouldn't want one. Sure it looks pretty cool, but imagine if you dropped that thing on the cement? Fuck that, it's ruined. It's just one big screen pretty much. Even if it doesn't break, it'll get all scratched up and the touch screen won't work as well (if at all) so then you're screwed. Also, the way you text looks gayyyy. People complain about cellphone numbers being kinda small and difficult to text with.. good luck texting with this thing. You'll miss the letter each time and when you try to delete it you'll hit some other letter.I think the phone is overrated because it's touch screen and you can go on the internet. You can do that on a lot of things (for a lot cheaper).

:LMAO: Where did you find that pic of that iPod looking thing? Anyways, that's just one problem Brooksie. The iPhone is just a gigantic overlooked piece of shit. I'd rather take a setup of a cell phone, iPod/other MP3, laptop/desktop, and whatever else you want. The huge problem that not one person had known before they bought the iPhone is that it has an internet speed slower, if not the same, as dial-up. Now, why the fuck would you need to watch movies on a few inches of screen. Granted an iPod Video does the same for less money, you also get music on both, but more on the iPod. A cell phone of any sort does the same exact thing as the iPhone. Texting, calling, etc. can all be found on a regular, cheap cell phone. Also, most phones now have camera's built in. Internet browsing in public... hmmm... Why? Get a laptop, it has more uses, and yes, it is portable just like the iPhone. Better service (buy broadband if the person wishes), better and bigger screen, and overall better performance. What's the use of buying a stupid little phone that does all these things at a minimum performance rate of everyday household items? It may not be cheaper for a laptop or desktop, but how many people can you honestly say do not own a computer with internet services?
It says iPhone on it.... so I figured it was an iPhone.I just looked it up, and THE iPhone is gonna be 4.5 inches tall?? That's bigger than a video iPod...
The iPhone has a camera. My bad. 2.0 megapixel camera, standard on cells.I'm pretty sure Cingular requires you to use their internet service designed for the iPhone that goes as dial-up speeds. However, the iPhone does have the ability to access Wi-Fi.Looks cool and all but in the end, I just don't need one.Maybe if Apple releases unlocked versions, I could get one.
On second thought, I think I'm going to wait until the Second Generation iPhone comes out. Reason being is there are several features that should be pretty easy to add that they haven't. 1) GPS - They already have the Maps feature, so how difficult would it be to add this?2) Video - They already have a Camera Lens, how hard would it be to Substitute it with one that can capture Video.3) Exactly How does an iPod Phone not have the ability to turn your songs into Ringtones? Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. 4) Add some sort of On-Board File Management System, with so many different types of media I think it's necessary.5) Since they have the harddrive and the File Management System (Suggestion 4), have it compatitble to carry all kinds of files easily so people don't need to carry their Portable Flash Drives as well. And overall just smooth it out. Perfect the Navigation, ect.I'm not saying it's a bad product as is, but I think they intentionally left themselves room to improve for the Second Generation that it's worth the wait.

People would be getting the iPhone so they don't have to carry around an iPod, a Digital Camera and a Phone and have it all in one very easy to use device.
