Mara was a huge asset last year, there's no way I see him being traded.

I think we would all love to see Malik go. He really hasn't done any good for us.

Hutchinson is probably at best 6 or 7th Defenseman and Barnes is just a marginal prospect and a 3rd round pick. But most importantly it was a Salary dump. Hopefully they put one of the kids in his spot. They definately have the money to get the Avery and Hossa deals done now.

 

NO!!! Cullen was important to our checking line. Why the hell would we get rid of him instead of Hossa?!

Why the hell would we get rid of him instead of Hossa?!</div>I think you're overrating Cullen.....he was signed to be and paid like a Second Line Center and he disapointed in that role. Turned into a pretty good Defensive Center who could kill Penalties, but we have Blair Betts who can do the same thing for a fraction of the Cost. Decent in shootouts as well, but I'd suspect Gomez or Drury would replace him there. Overall he was just rather expendible and making too much money to stay on a team that's very tight to the cap.
