They continue to be asses in dealing with the Mark Buerhle contract situation. Buerhle gave them a discount of 4 years, 56 million. In return, he asked for a no-trade clause. The White Sox said no. Then he asked for a limited no-trade clause. He'd have it the first year of the deal, and then for the next 1 1/2 years, he wouldn't, and then he'd get it again when he would receive the 10-5 veto. Sox wouldn't budge. Later, Buerhle's camp went back, gave up the no-trade clause, same 4/56 deal, but in return, add a player option for 2012 worth $17M if he is traded. Sox still said no. They need to realize, they can't have it both ways. They either pay the going rate, or realize, he's giving a discount and in return, give him the trade protection. Buerhle has bent over backwards here, and the White Sox are being stubborn. They're looking for a smear campaign so they can blast him when he leaves. See you in hell suckers. Here's to the White Sox continuing to suck. :beerbang2:

And the Cubs are good or something now? The Cubs have a much easier division to go through than the White Sox, so we should not expect celebrating from a team like the Cubs, who much more in the recent years, have sucked the most of almost every team in the MLB. They are in a slump halfway through the season and it's death to them already?

What about the Cubs ace? Have they locked him up yet? Yeah, that's what I thought.

They are horrible people. They trash the Cubs to no end. Now that the Sox are playing like shit, it's finally time to exact some revenge. And Brooksie, about the Cubs not locking up Z, the deal is not being held up b/c of some silly thing like a no-trade clause, it's the uncertainty of the ownership situation holding up his deal

This village idiot could get $100M+ deal on the open market, but he wants to stay for 50 cents on the dollar.

You're trying to tell me he's worth .6 Million a year less then Roy Oswalt (A Top 5 Pitcher in the League IMO). Barry Zito is/was also better then Buehrle, lower career ERA, better periperials, a Cy Young under his belt, ect.

White Sox fans are not true fans. They just hate the Cubs and need a team to root for. Cubs suck is the entire vocabulary of their fans. A lot of their marketing campaigns are just trashing the Cubs. The organization and their fans first priority is trashing the Cubs, not worrying about their own team. In no other city where there are 2 teams, do you see hate for the other team the way we got here in Chicago. We Cubs fans never cared for the White Sox, but when they started taking shots at us, we started hating them. They brought this on themselves.

And? The White Sox have a better recent history than you. It's not like you're going to win a WS in the next decade.

Better than a zero-and-done deal though, right?
