Krstic Sticking Point in O'Neal Trade Talks
The Nets' refusal to include Nenad Krstic stalled the Jermaine O'Neal trade talks. Al Iannazzone reports Indiana wanted Krstic, Richard Jefferson and Marcus Williams for O'Neal on Draft Night...as well as a third team that would take RJ and return some value. The Nets countered with a package that substituted Jason Collins for Krstic and the talks stalled. The two have not spoken since and Rod Thorn says he isn't "actively" searching for a big man in a trade. But don't be surprised if talks are renewed.

Krstic and JO would make a nice tandem. With Magloire aboard, not sure if the Nets are more inclined to do the trade, but do we have a backup PG?
-Petey

Will Kristic ever be a 20/10 threat? I highly doubt it
Even in a year when JO battled with injuries he averaged 19.6ppg and 9.6rpg. Check out his Block per game numbers also, he is one of the league leaders.

I wouldnt be moving Krstic, RJ, and Marcus Williams when you know JO wants out. I would wait it out as well and see what happens.

Some players just put up pretty stats and they fool people into thinking they are better than they really are.
Marcus Williams isn't anything special. He's more than likely a career backup. I wouldn't hesitate to give him up if we could get Darrell Armstrong in the deal as well.

Too much. Thorn wanted to swap Collins for Krstic, and that's closer to being a deal I'd like- maybe we could throw in a 2nd rounder.
I don't really want O'Neal unless we can rip Bird off.

I dont mind trading Krstic, marcus and RJ for JO, but we need to get a 3rd team involved or our backup pg problem will be bigger than ever.

If the Nets had a crappy contract like Theo Ratliff, JON would already be a Net.
I suppose Thorn would bite if the price becomes RJ and Collins, but I have my doubts about how much that would really improve the team.
Paying any more than that is just foolish.
