Jefferson is a hard worker...in contract years.

He absolutely cannot guard the pick and roll. Don't even try it. Your best bet is to let Jefferson guard the interior low post and let Oden guard the high post.

Apparently Oden has hardly played basketball since getting drafted. I doubt he's a hard worker. Kandi Man part deux, possibly.

QUOTE

Greg Oden Bows Out of Team USA Training

[IMG]Posted Aug 14th 2007 10:40AM by Bethlehem ShoalsFiled under: Trail Blazers, Western, NBA Injuries, NBA Rumors
[IMG]Greg Oden may be the NBA's next top center and a font of charisma, but he's sure not playing much basketball these days. The former Ohio State freshman has withdrawn from the Team USA camp, blaming that nasty tonsil removal that cut short his summer league tour. As Lion in Oil observes, there seems to be a pattern developing here with Oden:
Since being drafted number 1 by the Portland Trail Blazers in June Greg Oden has been a busy guy. He's had multiple trips to New York and Oregon, and well as trips to Orlando and Las Vegas. He's also been to Los Angeles and partied at the ESPY's. But there's something he doesn't seem to have been doing much of, and it should scare Trail Blazer fans. There hasn't seemed to be much basketball playing in the big man's itinerary.

They go on to speculate, as did a doctor quoted in SLAM last month, that something's wrong with Oden. Tonsilectomies just aren't this fierce and draining. SLAM thought it was mono, but Lion in Oil is thinking psychological block. I think both are stretching it a little--why the cover-up if it's just another physical ailment--but Oden's prolonged absence has to stand for something.

Really, three steps out the door and you're already turning on him? Speaking from experience as a 21 year old myself, it's at least plausable that Jefferson matured as a person, rather than reacted just to get a large contract. He'll get an extention at some point next year, so how he plays afterwards will be a good test of my optimism.

What an idiotic hatched job on Oden.

The Trail Blazers front office shut him down in summer league. It wasn't Oden's decision.

To be fair, Prem wasn't a big AlJeff fan when he was a Celtic, so nothing has changed

Would it be possible to get a list of which player is on which team, as in past years? Thanks.

My frontcourt is set. I don't pick for a while, but oh well. I'll take my chances with the guards I get and this frontcourt.

even though my defense might not be up to par, there was no way I could pass on Michael Redd this late in the game.

Solid pick.

I think sorting players by position makes more sense than doing it by the alphabet.

Nah, that helps people too much. They can go, hey who is the best PG left too easily.

I'm open to offers for my 3rd round pick (#72). I'd prefer to just move down in the 3rd round, will listen to offers through PM or AIM (kweli109).

To give an idea of how dumb I think a few of the early picks were, I think Real currently has the best team in the league.

GK's team is looking pretty darn good too.
