I say let it go through. People have to avoid his advances.

Others just need to learn how to say No! If people are able to crumble and not say no to GK6 on a trade offer, how are they going to say no to drugs? No wonder why so many people have a hard time saying no to drugs, they're mentally weak and can't avoid his advances.

My trade wasn't lopsided where JCB gained nothing or moved down more than he moved up. He gained significantly for his bench.

Alright, lets just let this be water under the bridge, and go play a game of trivia with our pants on.

You shouldn't post PM's for the public to see, either.

They are private messages for a reason.

And is that not what Giantsfan1 would be doing? He'd have 3 10th round picks and move from the end of round 11 to the beginning of round 11, hence gaining significantly for his bench.

Do you not realize he's trading down further than he's trading up? Look at it pickwise, not round wise. He's losing spots AND the best pick in the deal.

There is a huge difference between a franchise player and a 6th man.

JCB didn't even gain bench help that much, it was more geared towards better balance in his starting lineup, he gained getting 2 starters much earlier (2nd and 4th round) and another rotation player in the 7th, just like you trading up to get your starters earlier.

It's ridiculous to even compare these two trades. Would you do that trade if you were giantsfan? Odds are no, not because you wouldn't want depth, because it's unfair and stupid to do that.

You aren't even in the same ballpark logic wise

JCB moved down from 19 to 49 and then picked up 173 and 127 spots.

Exchanging a first (and 2 scrubs) for a second, fourth and a seventh is entirely different than what you are trying to claim.

Sure, there is a drop off in talent, but to claim that only scrubs will be available in the later rounds is nonsense. Plenty of players that can be contributors will be there. The key is to determining which ones. Just look at some of the picks being made so far. Good players are going to fall. And besides, it was his choice to make that trade just like it was CelticKing's choice to make the other one. If you don't like it, then try to better your team and keep up instead of bitching about it. That's what good GM's do. Disallowing it is like David Stern disallowing Boston's trade for Garnett because it makes the Atltantic Division unfair and complaining about it is like Rod Thorn complaining to Stern about the trade instead of seeking to better his team and do his job. It's ridiculous and dumb. That's not the point though. The point is that allowing some of the other trades that have been made while disallowing this one is hypocrisy at its finest.

This is nothing like the Garnett trade.

This would be like trading in the NBA draft picks 10 and 30 for picks 22 and 23.

I really don't want to argue it anymore, the trade was made, even if it was crap.

I just don't understand why giantsfan would do it.

Neither case is hypocrisy, but allowing this trade to go through while a similar one didn't would be a more accurate description of inconsistency. And for the record, there are analogous rules and obstacles to trading in the NBA.

Thoughts on the Corey Brewer pick?

I really wanted to take Nenad or Villanueva, but they were taken just ahead of my pick (much like every other player I've been looking at).

Part of the reason I found someone to take my team was so that I could arbitrate things like this with no bias. As lwp pointed out, consistency is the issue here
