QUOTE (BG7 Lavigne)

He averaged 18.9 PPG 9.7 RPG 3.1 BPG in the D-League.

When he came up and played in the NBA at the end of last season, he averaged 5.9 PPG 4.6 RPG 1.6 BPG in 15 MPG. Thats pretty damn good for a 19 year old. If he could put up 8 PPG 6 RPG 2 BPG, isn't he worth it as a ninth rounder?

In his 4 games, where he played more than 10 minutes, he averaged: 10.8 PPG 8.0 PPG 2.8 BPG in 25 minutes....good, no?

In the 2 games in which he played more than 30 minutes, he averaged 16.0 PPG 11.0 RPG 5.0 BPG in 36 minutes....outstanding, no?

I am just ahead of the curve on this guys, and you guys are missing out. He will break out this coming NBA season, and he'll be on my well balanced, talented, and intuitively put together roster.

He definitely has potential and he's good value this late, but in all honesty, D-League and garbage minutes at the end of the season don't mean much. Jose Barea, a career NBA 3rd-stringer, looked like Oscar Robertson destroying in the D-League.

Amir Johnson was an excellent, excellent pick at this point in the draft.

Detroit didn't sign him to a significant contract because they think he's some bum that belongs in the D-League.

There's even a decent chance he will start for them right out of camp, which means a HUGE jump in his numbers.

I can't believe people think this is a bad pick when so many broken down, fairly useless players who were never very good in the first place have been selected and nobody said boo about them.

Somehow I don't think he's beating out Prince or Rasheed- unless you think they're sliding Sheed over to center. But he is going to get some decent minutes this year. And stop calling Jason Williams useless!

Sloth has it right. Either Maxiell or Johnson will start, and I think Johnson is the favorite.

Also, I don't think Williams was a bad pick at all for when you took him.

I'm not sure how great or terrible Amir Johnson is, but if the Pistons are starting him, then I don't feel very confident in the chances of the Pistons next year. I had no clue that they were so shaky at center.

    Rasheed Wallace is their center.

McDyess/Johnson/Maxiell is the PF rotation, which is pretty good, IMO.

This is a big improvement over beginning last season with Nazr Mohammed in the starting lineup.

Amir Johnson and Rasheed in the starting lineup? I dont think Amir would start, not to mention he and Rasheed would overcrowd the perimeter/high post, leaving nobody in the paint.

Amir's not gonna start for DET next year. They aren't gonna blow their season just to get him extensive p/t.

GM3, you might want to change your pick- last I read, Singleton's playing for Tau Ceramica next year.

Real stinks! I was debating whether to take Amir Johnson or Jason Collins, trying to figure out which might be available when my next pick came up. But considering that both probably wouldn't lasted until my next pick, I'd rather have Amir than Jason.

I know which center I'll take as my main bench center. I think the guy should be a studly center. So I'll probably fill out my bench wings next.

Someday, there will be an NBA player named Adanol Fryla and these posts will become very confusing.
