i'm already planning on picking a guy that isn't in the NBA next year, and it'll be impossible to defend taking two of them :-D

Sorry posted this in the wrong thread, meant to go into the "Random Thought thread", my mistake.

Might as well add something though, I'm thinking about taking a combo forward for the 12th roster position but am struggling finding a decent pick. Hopefully, I'll find an answer to my problem before it's my pick.

I've still got 10 guys on my list, 5 of which are reasonable picks, 5 of which are kind of sentimental.

There have been WAY too many 2007 draft guys going so far. Some of them do deserve to go, but a lot of the guys getting drafted just aren't quality ball players.

Says the man who drafted Saer Sene.

1 more pick to go. Almost done!

Just so we're clear here - speeds picked at 10:33 AM on Sunday. We're past 10:33 PM on Monday. That means 6 people were skipped, and it's currently ghoti's pick. GMJigga, you can make your other pick ASAP.

Bah, I want to pick before I go to bed.

Can anyone pick for me? If not, I may just pick and hope that GK doesn't steal my player.

Sene was from the 2006 draft.

But strong words for someone who took Kyrylo "to dumb to know what put the ball on the floor" Fesenko, and a bunch of other duds in Jared Dudley, Thabo Sefolosha, and Jason Smith.

I know. I took Sene last year in the 12th round. In hindsight, it was a mistake.

Fesenko isn't dumb - he's a genius! I mean, I'm not sure how much of it is him being flaky, him not speaking the goodest of english, and how much is his sense of humor, but I do know that the Jazz are paying him like a first round pick, and that he was barely scouted by NBA teams, which makes it more likely he just flew under everyone's radar.

I admit the Thabo pick was a bit early, but I'm very happy to get four players from the strongest draft in a decade. I don't know if Smith can contribute this year, but he's a high-risk, high-reward player who could be a very, very good bench scorer if he pans out. And Jared Dudley is going to succeed in the NBA. I'm thrilled to take him in the 12th round. No doubt in my mind about that one.

I like Devean George. I considered him. He has big nostrils. He's a good defender and smart player that can hit the open 3. He's a very nice backup to have and fits in with your team very well.

What do you think of Devin Brown?

I understand he's a free agent and it's no given that he will be in the NBA next year, but I loved him with the Spurs and he played very well for the Hornets last year. He deserves a spot on an NBA roster and there are quite a few guys with multi-year contracts that Brown is better than IMHO. He can create his own shot and is a fairly good shooter as well as a solid defender. IMO he fits in with my team quite nicely. Hopefully an NBA team picks him up.

I really like your team, with the exception of shaq and cwebb who are injury prone right now. But still a very good team. maybe even contender. I like petrius and thomas on your bench.

if you got someone else next to Shaq, i might like your team alot better. I'm not a big CWebb fan, especially with how he's been the last couple seasons.

I don't know. It should be a playoff team but I don't think it's a contender. Shaq and Webber are broken players and there's not much defense. I do like the bench for the most part, though I'm not sold on Tim Thomas ever caring enough to make the most of his talent. Hopefully we finish up soon so we can review the teams in the peer review thread.
