Once you run the program, an option box will appear. It will ask for your full name, your email address, your nickname, and an alternative nickname in case the one you want is in use. You do not have to enter your name or email address. You can just make something up for that. For the nickname, it would be wise to enter it as your s2.com name so people know who you are. When you are done filling in the fields, click OK. 2. You will then see the status window. This is where you connect to the server you want. Our channel is located on efnet, so you want to connect to an efnet server. A good one to use is efnet.net To connect to this server, type /server irc.efnet.net in the status window and hit enter. You will then begin trying to connect. If you can't connect to efnet.net DO NOT WORRY as mIRC will automatically try to connect you to other efnet servers if this happens. 3. Upon connection, a box will appear asking you to enter a channel name to join. Enter #njnets and click join. You will then be in our chatroom and ready to talk draft! mIRC is very very simple. I highly recommend it. TUTORIAL - chat.efnet.org 1. When you go to chat.efnet.org, there will be a link asking you to click to enter the webchat interface. Click it. 2. Once you are connected, type /join #njnets and hit enter. You can do this in either the status window or the channel they automatically put you in. It doesn't matter. You will then be ready to chat.
