    SAN DIEGO (Ticker) - Norv Turner's debut with the San DiegoChargers may leave a bad taste in his mouth.


    Turner and the revamped coaching staff saw the Chargers commiteight penalties - including a costly fourth-quarter infractionon the game-winning field goal - as the Seattle Seahawksdefeated San Diego, 24-16, in a preseason matchup on Sundaynight.


    Seattle's Josh Brown missed his initial attempt at a 41-yardfield goal, but the Chargers were whistled for having 12 men onthe field. That moved Brown five yards closer and he convertedthe go-ahead score with 7:18 to go.


    Marquis Weeks tacked on a six-yard touchdown run with 1:55 toplay to extend the Seahawks' advantage to 24-16.


    Matt Hasselback gave Seattle an early lead with a 31-yardtouchdown pass to Deion Branch in the first quarter. SenecaWallace took over midway through the second quarter afterHasselbeck completed 4-of-6 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.

    Seattle added a fourth-quarter score on a 17-yard touchdown fromWallace to Ben Obomanu to pull within 16-14.


    While star running back LaDainian Tomlinson sat out for SanDiego, reserve quarterback Billy Volek led the offense,engineering a four-play, 55-yard touchdown drive to tie the gameat 7-7 in the second quarter. Volek finished 13-of-18 for 143yards and a TD.


    Starter Philip Rivers played until the middle of the secondquarter and completed 5-of-7 passes for 71 yards.


    Nate Kaeding tacked on three field goals in the second half topush San Diego's advantage to 16-7.


    Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander had just two carries forfour yards.
