There was a rumour about the Hawks willing to make an offer over a month ago but what has been reported since.</p> </p> No doubt he is the ace up BC's sleeve but to say he is on his way out because teams are lining up to surrender top talent for him is very wrong.</p>
I really dont want to trade Calderon and I hope he can sign an extension before he becomes a FA. That being said I think if Colangelo were to make some kind of trade it would involve either Graham, Dixon, Humphries and Rasho and maybe a couple of picks.

IF we did trade someone, it would probably be him...and Im not saying teams will trade top talent either, Im saying that we could get a nice role player for Jose and some fill in's...</p>
Ok.</p> Hopefully BC waits to see what this team needs the most before dealing Jose. Delf and Kapp could really change the structure of this team. </p>
Well I am not sure it happens this year, but I see a big move on the horizon. The system works great, but Bosh needs another star to play with in order to advance in the playoffs.

They can sit on this team for a bit and see what Bargnani and Ford become. Considering that including Bosh, all three are locked in for the next three years and all three are 24 or younger these guys are just barely reaching their prime I don't think BC should rush to get a second star. I agree that in the short term it may hamper the teams chances in the postseason but think we need to give this group of guys another chance to get it done.</p> Having said that I don't think BC would turn down a chance to make this team better.</p>
For some reason im really nervous about Calderon's future on the Raptors. I have a feeling like this will be his last season with the team and that if he doesnt gets enough minutes he will sign with a different team and our 2 PG platoon will be gone. Hopefully I am wrong but does anyone else feel the same way? That having Ford and Calderon split minutes for years to come is a not realistic??

Hmm. In my heart of hearts I can't see the dual PG thing happening much longer.</p> Give TJ another year, see if he can do 33 mpg for 82 games and how he responds because if he does well, there's probably better places to spend money than on a backup 1.</p>

I doubt however that he would go to Memphis now that they have Navarro because it would pretty much be the same situation he is in right now playing the backup PG role.</p> </p> </p>

Well before any big move is made, don't the Raps need more time to see how to best utilize Bargnani and Bosh at the same time? Not just any front court player could mesh with those two considering their strengths and weaknesses.

He cant shoot, plays average defense at best, and when he is on the fast break he doesnt look for his teammates first most of the time like some other effective fastbreak point guards(ala:Nash, Kidd, even Ridnour to an extent). If you ask me, a pg like Ridnour or Paul is more suited for the Raps offense. Calderon, imo, is a better player and pg than Ford. In the playoffs, i saw Ford had the talent but not everything right in the head. But again, thats just my opinion on Ford, and I think the Raps could do better with another starting pg. </p>

But what i meant concerning TJ's shooting is that he doesnt have good range on his shot, and he got such good numbers in those playoffs because the nets were concentrating their defense on Bosh(and Kidd cant guard quick guys like Ford).</p> </p>
Oh, I watched every second of that series many times my friend.</p> Ultimately, I think just like the frontcourt court needs another year before we really know what we got, the backcourt needs more time to play out. </p> Things will be different this season for the Raps but their sucess will probably still depend on their options. MoP wasn't much of an option last year so adding Kap is significant. There so be no rush to make another move until we see what the division landscape looks like during the season. </p>
