Jackson looks to build off an excellent series when the ArizonaDiamondbacks visit the Florida Marlins in the opener of athree-game set Tuesday. Jackson went 6-for-10 (.600) with two home runs and five RBI inthe three-game series win over the Washington Nationals over theweekend. The 25-year-old first baseman is batting .275 withnine homers and 41 RBI this season. The Diamondbacks will send Byung-Hyun Kim (6-5, 4.93 ERA) to themound. Kim was claimed off waivers from the Marlins on August3 after starting the season with the Colorado Rockies. Kim was tagged for five runs - four earned - and seven hits overjust 2 1/3 innings in his only start for Arizona this season, a10-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Florida will counter with Dontrelle Willis (7-12, 4.98), who hasnot won since May 29. The 25-year-old lefthander has gone 0-9with a 6.00 ERA over that stretch, a span of 13 starts. Florida shortstop Hanley Ramirez, who is hitting .341 with 21homers, is leading the National League in batting average. Ifhe hangs on, Ramirez would become the first player in Marlins'history to lead the league in that category.
