    Penny (14-3) snapped a three-start winless streak to joinChicago Cub Carlos Zambrano as the only National League hurlerswith 14 wins. The burly righthander yielded three runs and 10hits in six innings, striking out six and issuing one walk.

    Two relievers bridged the gap to closer Takashi Saito, whopitched a scoreless ninth to earn his 30th save.
