Arizona suffered a 14-5 loss in Tuesday's series opener butresponded with a 9-6 victory Wednesday. Jose Valverde pitched the ninth inning Wednesday to pick up his36th save of the season. The 28-year-old righthander hasalready doubled his career-high of 18 saves and is tied withMilwaukee Brewers closer Francisco Cordero for the major leaguelead in saves.
