Any reasoning for your answer? the colts have alot of hole on an already weak defense, and lost their two main offensive lineman. I predict them in the playoffs but that weak line is going to hurt them.

Colts by farrrr...Their offense is just full of studs from Manning to Addai to Wayne and even Harrision while I cant even name 1 offensive player on the Ravens. The only advantage I would give the Ravens over the Colts is their defense but this still does not mean they will be better then the Colts. With Manning at the helm, your team will compete for a championship.

Your an idiot if you watch NFL and dont know 1 offensive player on the ravens. You've never heard of Steve Mcnair,Willis Mcgahee,Todd Heap, or even Jon Ogden? People dont seem to get that the colts already couldnt score on us. Now tarik glenn is gone, so whose gonna stop the ravens d(who was number one in sacks) from tearing apart peyton manning even more now?

I'm going with the Baltimore Ravens this season. I just think the Colts lost too much this offseason. Losing Tarik Glenn, a top five LT has gone pretty much unreported, he's been protecting Manning's blind side for years. Unless Tony Ugoh or Charles Johnson step up, it's a chink in the armor. The Colts CB's Jackson/Hayden are very young, and their linebackers are not that talented, usually they get by with Brackett/Morris, but without much at DT the linebackers won't be as effective. DT is going to be trouble, the Colts have little talent there.

The only thing holding the Ravens back is a pretty average offensive line, it has to open holes for Willis McGahee. The Ravens defense in my mind puts them over the top. Haloti Ngata I think will take the next step and dominate at DE. Everyone knows how good the Ravens LB's/CB's/S's are. If Ngata takes that next step, that DL is going to be stout and those linebackers are going to have a field day.

Yeah, if you go by ESPN. Do people realize how much they lost? Normally, even as Ravens fan, I'd say them, because they'd ownedthemin the past. But they lost way too much.

RB Dominic Rhodes, who was key in backing Addai and in the Superbowl.
LT Tarik Glenn, he protects Manning's blindside. This was touched on before. But yeah, ask a rookie to keep teams off of him.
CB's Nick Harper and Jason David. Only one can be offset by Marlin Jackson, who is a solid player
DT McFarland (injury) and Montae Reagor. McFarland was huge in stopping the run late in the yr. No depth here.
LB Cato June, he was there poor man's Derrick Brooks, making plays. Now they have Freddy Keiaho. Yeah, who?

IAnd there is only so much Manning could do. Because, they're gonna have to try and outscore teams like they did past and that didn't work too well for them then. Which is why there's more to it than just a QB. Only last yr they showed that grittiness, despite having one of the worst run defenses in NFL history. They were battled tested. They'll still contend, but I expect a drop off.Hey, if I'm wrong, and theybeat the Ravens head-to-head this yr, I'll admit it.

Comparing weak links; Ravens O is better than the Colts D.

Baltimore's D has the right scheme & personnel to slow down Peyton & Co. Lastly, a rookie OLT vs Suggs? Are you kidding?

I say Ravens... its not because I picked Baltimore to win it all.... Indy is my 2nd fave

I don't see how you can bet against the superbowl champions who stay pretty much intact.

From watching their 1st game agaisnt the Saints, I'm really impressed with their defense, especially their run D. Keiaho did pretty good for a first time starter. The Colts offense looks consistent as always, but I'm still going to say my Ravens are going to be better this year.

Landry is going to be a Pro Bowler this year alongside the best saftey in the league, Reed. Lewis said that this year is the best he's ever felt in his career. Look for him to lead the league in tackles this year. Sure they lost AD but they still have Jarett Johnson replacing him and drafted two good LBs in Burgess and a DPOY candidate Barnes who could easily take AD's role in a year or two. The only thing I'm worried about their D right now is Rolle, they need to get rid of him. McNair knows his offense better now that its his 2nd year. And bringing in McGahee was the best move of the offseason. I'm predicting that both McGahee and Clayton will breakout this season. They picked up the best FB in the draft in LeRon Mclain and a lightening quick returnman/WR in Yamon Figurs. And added some youth, Grubbs and Gaither, to the aging O line.

And for the guy who can't name one player on the Raven's D, you've never heard of Troy Smith the 2006 Heisman Winner, Ogden one of the best T in the league, McNair Co-MVP a few years back, former Bills McGahee or former Titans Mason? I guess you don't watch football that much.

The Colts won last year more in spite of Peyton Manning than because of him. He had a decent game in the Super Bowl (shouldn't have been the MVP, though), but he flat out sucked against Baltimore and KC and was lucky the defense bailed him out. I still don't like what I see in Peyton Manning in the playoffs. That said, Joseph Addai is very good, and the defense looks improved. If Bob Sanders stays healthy, I'll take the Colts. I'd certainly love to see somebody beat them senseless, though, so if the Ravens can do it, by all means.

"In spite of" is a ridiculous phrase. And the Defense last year in the playoffs wasn't carrying anything in the most important playoff games. Joseph Addai also doesn't usually face more than seven men in the box, whereas the entire game revolves around stopping Manning.

He didn't suck against KC, Harrison caused two interceptions by running "in routes" instead of two out routes. He didn't understand the Audible Peyton made.

He definitely deserved to be the Superbowl MVP (it's also a little more difficult to pass in rainy conditions, you usually don't see gunslinger duels in the rain), because the safeties were playing him deep allowing the Colts to rush the ball. And he had the best game out of anyone against NE, when his receivers were invisible. His only poor game was against Baltimore. Stats don't show his dominance in the NE game, because they do not measure Two Point conversions, or calling the right plays in the redzone.

For example: he only had one passing touchdown against NE but was clearly the only reason the Colts scored 35 points in the second half. I expect him to play well again in the post-season, to shut up those stat geeks who didn't even watch the first Playoff run.

Finally, he was "clutch" in every single game in the post-season. His fourth quarter stats were amazing.
