Granted what Vick did was gruesome, but I don't see how people in the justice system who are riding the moral high ground in the case can be ok with this. Vick gets sentenced for killing dogs...and we'll do the same thing. Yes theres a difference in how its done, but the end result is the same.

You cant let them out on society, they were trained to be agressive...pit bulls have a bad rep anyway, which is total crap, because they arent agressive animals, they just have physical attributes that make them good hunting andfighting dogs....its the ethical duty of the authorites to destroy these dogs, but inas humane a way as possible

Hunting dogs have special skills and discipline as well. These dogs must be put down or whoever makes the decision to let them live needs to be held criminally and financially liable for any brutal attack that one of dogs commits against a human or animal should they ever get loose. That's the key for me. Vick has turned them into unpredictable monsters and no one else should have to suffer as a result of his crime and there is no one who can guarantee that one of those beasts won't ever get loose if they are left alive. Don't get me wrong. I hate that these poor dogs have to be put down because of Vick and his croanies stupidity, but it's too late to save them. You can't make them unagressive. As far as I'm concerned the blood of these dogs are on the hands of Michael Vick and his croanies. He's the one who has killed them.</p>
