Rod Benson, a 6'-10" power forward from California who played D-League ball last season, blogs that he will be in training camp for the Nets next month. Benson writes his own blog, toomuchrodbenson, as well as one for Draft Express. He played in the D-League last season, where he averaged 10.4 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Benson fantasizes that he could be the next Mikki Moore.

    Cal bio.

Anyways Draft Express' piece says he's a cousin of JKidd.

Wiry big, says he will replace Mikki Moore. Body type and game is similar. Knock on him was built like a 3, with power forward/center skills....Moore?

He needs to be on the team. He NEEDS to be on the team. He doesn't need to play, he just NEEDS to be on the roster. He could be in street clothes every game, for all I care.

    Do it Throrn!

Being 'the next moore' is a bit high of a ceiling for this guy but who knows. This guy's blog was enjoyable, he can at the very least be the next Paul Shirley

This guy has great potential to be one of my favorite fringe-level players. He'll be immortalized among such players as AJ, Hassan, Pops

Jabari, Buf, Donny Marshall, Vladamir Stepania, Soumalia Soumake, G-Mures, Scotty Burrell, Johnny Newman, Sherman "The General" Douglas, and of course, Northwestern's finest, Evan "Esch" Eschmeyer, all come to mind as well.

Does anyone else know the full list of invites?

Will Mile still be on the team post camp, since he is an average at best stiff?
