Now that our roster is pretty much set, although we might bring in one more small addition using the LLE or veteran's minimum, it's time to discuss the rotation and minute distribution. As of right now, assuming Tony Allen is not ready to play in November, put yourself in Doc's shoes and distribute the minutes. Obviously, depending on matchups, it can fluctuate, but average it out as best as you can. Make sure your total minutes adds up to 48 for each position, of course. C: Perkins (28) / Garnett (10) / Pollard (10) PF: Garnett (28) / Scalabrine (13) / Powe (4) / Posey (3) SF: Pierce (29) / Posey (19) SG: R. Allen (25) / House (10) / Pierce (8) / Posey (5) PG: Rondo (33) / R. Allen (11) / House (4) Player-by-Player Total Minutes Kevin Garnett - 38 Paul Pierce - 37 Ray Allen - 36 Rajon Rondo - 33 Kendrick Perkins - 28 James Posey - 27 Eddie House - 14 Brian Scalabrine - 13 Scot Pollard - 10 Leon Powe - 4 Powe - not every game, so a 9-10 man rotation. I think my minute distribution makes sure the trio plays enough, yet not too much, and we get balanced minutes from our bench. What do you think, and what changes would you make?
The goal is to keep the stars fresh for the playoffs. Seeding doesn't matter so much with these guys.
 C - Perkins [28] | Garnett [12] | Pollard [8] PF - Garnett [24] | Scalabrine [12] | Davis or Powe [12] SF - Pierce [24] | Posey [24] SG - Allen [36] | Pierce [12] PG - Rondo [30] | House [18]

Garnett and Allen are used to playing 40 minutes. I think they're going to play those kind of minutes still.

Who knows, maybe we'll beat the bulls record for wins in the regular season.
I don't see Scal getting more than 3 to 5 mins a game. (some games won't even play)
Pollard should be getting more minutes than him.

Tony Allen's surgically reconstructed knee is at 65%, optimistically. His entire career was based on an athleticism that is now questionable.

The only mistake Ainge has made in his career as a GM.

[/QUOTE]
First of all, Danny has made more than one questionable move in his tenure. Let me get that out of the way right now...
Scal may have gotten a bigger contract than he should have, but the's not absolute garbage. I think he's actually what every veteran team needs off the bench. An all-out hustler who is 100% enthusiastic, never complains, and can defend perimeter bigs. He has also shed some weight and improved his outside shot, and shot the 3 consistently for us last year. I think the biggest thing with Scal this year is that he won't be forced to go out there and try to do more than what he's capable of. He'll be able to go out there and just do what he does best - the little things. Sure, he isn't the most talented player on the roster, but every contending team needs an intangibles guy. Scal is exactly that, and has the playoff experience along with it.
I went more in-depth about Scal a couple weeks ago.
