To only list Reyes, Ramirez might be short sighted.
So Reyes, Ramirez or Rollins?
I still can't get over that the Sox traded Ramirez away after shipping out their other SS.
Personally don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3.
-Petey

I think Reyes is a top-5 MLB player....I love guys that can do the stuff he does on base....If he singles or walks, its a double after he ganks 2nd and then hes a base hit away from being plated....I dont fear anyone else more than him when the Cubs play the Mets....
I don't think Rollins is in the same league as Reyes & Ramirez.
Ramirez is under-rated, but not a game changer, yet...

He has a great attitude about the game. Not sure how many of you guys have been to Shea this year, but his commercials on the jumbo tron had me cracking in.
-Petey

QUOTE (JCB)

Reyes. His defense is much better than Hanley's.
They were talking about it on the ESPN broadcast tonight where the Mets are lobbying to get him a gold glove. Anyone think he can wrangle that from Omar?
-Petey

If I was a GM and was told I could pick a player to start my team, but I couldnt pick a pitcher, It would be Jose Reyes....

QUOTE (TheBeef)

If I was a GM and was told I could pick a player to start my team, but I couldnt pick a pitcher, It would be Jose Reyes....

That's a good question. I would certainly consider both Reyes and Ramirez, though I would take Pujols.
-Petey

Pujols is a solid choice, but I can get any of a dozen guys to play 1st and drive in runs....there are no other SSs that can manufacture runs like Reyes can....not mention what he does for the guys behind him, messing with pitchers minds....

At first he plays great defensively.
-Petey

Reyes hands down....he is a stealing machine and the pitcher and catcher know it but there is nothing they can do because he is lightning quick, plus he bats over .300 and drives in runs because of his base running. I havnt even touched on his defense, but definitley Reyes any day.
Rollins & Ramirez have more power, but Reyes is more of a force on the basepaths (I don't think he strikes out as much either) & has better defense than both of them, gold glove worthy defense at that. So as biased as it may sound, I'm going with Jose...
The best SS Furcal. But if i have to choose i'll choose Reyes because he also is a very good lead of man and very fast and you need that to SB.

Thats why I'll still take Reyes over Ramirez Reyes could probaly score you on a double soReyes is the whole package his offence and defence and everything else.
I think Rollins has a shoot at the MVP right now. It's funny that everyone else doesn't think he belongs in this comparison.
-Petey
