http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.d...088/1005/SPORTS</p> <font color="#0000ff">...after a 2006 season that ended early because of shoulder and hand injuries and included the emergence of Ladell Betts and a forgettable preseason in which knee tendinitis has kept him sidelined for four weeks, Portis admits this season may be his last with the Redskins. </font></p> <font color="#0000ff">"The world forgot about me this year," he said. "I have to make it work this year or I'll be out of here and probably be doing these same interviews somewhere else."</font></p> Well, I don't know about the same interviews... I think they'll be interviews where he's asked questions about being washed up, which he's not etting here. </p> </p>
I hope he puts it all together, he was great in 2005 as were the Redskins, I wish we could get back to that form. MikeDC, do you know if he'll be ready for the Dolphins game?
All he needs to do is stay healthy... he's not washed up, he produces when he performs, simple as that.

I don't have as much faith in Portis... I think when he gets on the field he's not washed up, but he seems to be one of those guys that's never gonna be 100% healthy again. From what I understand he's gonna play in the opener. Might be able to go in the last pre-season game, but he doesn't want to.
