I'm expecting Boston to jump on this oppurtunity, Payton could backup Rondo and help to mentor him as RR continues to develop into a PG who can create for guys like Pierce, Garnett, and Allen which isn't the hardest task but it needs to be done well. I'm happy to see him another year but I don't think he'll be able to contribute a good deal to any team, he'll mainly be used as a locker room prescence.
I think John Paxson might take a swipe at him. If Payton looks good, that'd allow them to trade Duhon.

The Nets need another PG for the minimum, and he was Jason Kidd's mentor as a kid, but he is so washed up I don't even think he would help.

Not interested in trading Duhon or having Payton on the Bulls.
The bulls didn't need to get much younger by taking a 19 year old C with potential, and I do think that Noah is at least a better athlete.

Noah can come off the bench immediately. Hawes is still pretty raw and is going to take some time to develop.
As for Payton, him and Kidd are pretty tight. Even at his age, I'd love to have GP on the Nets for the minimum.

Noah is alot like Tyrus Thomas, both are hustle players who play terrific defense, however now Thomas is adding a jumper to his game so he's become even more valuable. Meanwhile Noah has very short range.
