QUOTE

Do you expect the Mavericks to add a veteran (maybe P.J. Brown or Chris Webber) before the start of the season? I would have thought they'd already have done that by now. Webber and Brown are supposedly waiting out to see if they can get more money. But they can only get so much. And Brown apparently is still considering retirement. May not be the way to go. I'd feel a lot better about this team's chances if Webber were coming off the bench. -- Dallas Morning News

I'm with the writer, if I were a Mavs fan, like to see them add Webber, a guy who can create some O while Dirk sits.

Webber gives them a higher upside. I would add Webber if I were the Mavs, but then again look at my GM draft below...

The Mavs best bet would be to sign Webber.

Definitely go for Webber, he may have aged and started his decline but we still saw tough rebounding, an ability to score the ball in the post, and terrific passing from Webber last season with Detroit. This Dallas team also lacks a great C rotation, Dampier is a good defensive post prescence but a front court duo of Webber and Dirk will give alot of teams in the NBA hell.

    Definitely Webber.

PJ Brown was too old to play in the NBA last year, I can't imagine how bad he will be this year.

Webber to Brown is a big dropoff. I'd love to have Webber because he does more than PJ.
