Ya that was some sad football played in detroit yesterday. Even if they won that game, somehow, the Rams D is still pathetic and would not have been enough to win in the playoffs. I have been sick of hearing all the talk about their D and how Dallas Defense is number 1 overall which IMO that ranking system is a bunch of bullshit. The Patriots have given up 8.5 points at home this year and in our last five home games we have givin up 3.2 points per game but we don't have the best defense in football and only have 2 probowlers from that unit.

recently our offense has averaged ove 33 points per game since the monday night drivein GB. we have played top defenses in those games, and most of them have bee nat home, i think thats an advantage ofhaving HFA and he offense clicking better than ever before. the defense on the other hand.........

I hear ya on the homefield advantage. It is huge but I would call some of those teams top defenses. Maybe 3 out of the last 8 games you are talking could be considered top def. Mia, Car, and Dal. Dal has been great all year but Car and Mia have been exposed on a few occasions this year. The defense will be kicked up a notch and I wouldn't expect to leaning on your offense in the playoffs. You guys need your conrers to get healthy if you want to have a shot at winning it all. It should be a intresting playoff with all the good teams in it, but unless Green Bay makes some noise I don't see any other matchup in the NFC than Phil and STL and you'll need a healthy taylor and vincent for that game.

Pats, your right about the Dolphins having been exposed a few times this year, but the Cowboys have been good all year? Didn't they get carved up like turkeys on Thanksgiving by Jay Feeble of all people? The Cowboys are certainly getting better, but they are not dominant yet. As for the Eagles, they will need to play some D in the playoffs, but I think they are capable of doing that. I think they're biggest problem is staying healthy.

Ya your right the fiddler did carve them up but the only reason the cowboys are in is cus their defense. I saw them come into to foxboro and put up a hell of a fight. Now I'm not saying or offense is dominent but we can usually move the ball and put up some decent points regardless of the defense. I mean we scored 38 on the titans and they have a solid defense. I was just impressed when I saw them.

The eagles defense will be in trouble if they can't stop the run. If they end up playing green bay they could get run out of the building unless ahman green coughs one up in a clutch situation. The eagles Defense needs to get healthy fast and Johnson needs to find a way to sure up that D-line.

eagles D HAS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS GIVEN up a lot of yards under Jim Johnson, but HAVE always always been a shut down D in the redzone. they dont have the #s, but when did they? they are fine.

and the gians D is a pretty good D, especially against the eagles. saints is average, dallas, carolina, miami, were all top Ds at that time.

I agree they give some yards but they have never been shredded on the ground like this year.

Yea i agre,, but when Trotter was here we were ranked in the mid 20's in rush defense, but at that time our Pass was #2 behind miami so it balanced our total D out more. this year we are just missing our best 2 runstoppers, Hollis Thomas and Paul Grasnamis
