Anybody got any good 'things' I can write about for me Football games essay ? I've basically got to describe Football Games the genre, any idea's or apsects that I'd more than likely miss out on would be grateful. I can't crap on about FIFA Vs Pro Evo for 10 pages.
Is it just football games where you are in control of the players on field, or does it include management games like Champ Manager and FM? If it includes both you could perhaps do a bit on the differing natures of football games. Management games require more thought, patience and planning - where Pro Evo type games are more about the adrenaline rush. You could also compare old games with new. You could talk about how 'top down' games were the norm 10-15 years ago, whereas now its more of a side view giving a more realistic view of the action. I'd also suggest a chapter on how games fulfil (or don't) the basic desire of emulating our footballing heroes, and that with new games being more and more realistic in terms of graphics, it makes it easier to immerse yourself in the game and become part of the action.
