<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Shaun Custis:</div><div class="quote_post">ARJEN ROBBEN raved about Micah Richards? England debut ? and the pair could be Chelsea team-mates next year. The Premiership champions are getting ready to make a move for the Manchester City defender, who was outstanding against Holland on Wednesday. Richards, 18, has recently signed a new four-year contract with the Eastlands club. But Chelsea may offer former City star Shaun Wright-Phillips on loan as bait so they can have the first option on Richards next summer. Dutch winger Robben must have been relieved to get Richards off his back by the final whistle in the Amsterdam ArenA. The big hug he gave the youngster at the end showed special respect for his opponent. Earlier in the season Richards was impressive against the winger even though City were beaten 3-0. Robben said: ?He has got a great future ahead of him. He is just 18 but if you see his body and strength and power it is unbelievable. ?He is quick and powerful and it was a good fight between us.? Richards produced a debut performance of such exceptional maturity that Manchester United?s Gary Neville now knows he has a serious rival for his right-back berth for the first time in a decade. England skipper John Terry was hugely impressed by Richards. The Chelsea star said: ?Micah did fantastically well. He looked like he had been playing there for two or three years and was a credit to himself. ?He?s been playing very well for Manchester City and, coming into this atmosphere with a lot of pressure on him, he did very very well. ?Young players come into the squad now and they are so confident and I mean that in a nice way, not an arrogant way. ?He?s confident in his own ability and that showed. He?s created a problem for the boss now. ?He was facing two fantastic wingers in world football ? Robben and Van der Vaart ? and he came out on top. One on one, defensively, I don?t think anyone beat him. ?He was also very calm on the ball and didn?t really give it away. He won his headers and we all know he?s great in the air. It?s all very pleasing. ?It?s exciting that Micah has come in and done so well and that must give other young players confidence and a target to reach. ?This shows that if they are good enough, they will get their chance.? Birmingham-born Richards was pleased with his first senior England outing. He said: ?It was unbelievable really. I was quite nervous at first but once I crossed the white line and the first ball was up in the air, I just took it in my stride. ?The coaches just told me to do what I do for my club and don?t try to change my game because I have stepped up a level. I tried that and thought I did all right. ?You are playing with better players, more experienced players. ?It is a higher standard but it?s being able to deal with it. If you play with better players you can deal with it more.? Richards? father Lincoln was in Amsterdam, watching on in pride as he has done throughout his son?s fledgling career. The City right-back added: ?I always try to get forward whenever possible. ?In international football you have got to make your move at the right time because if you get caught out of position at this level you get punished. ?I was just glad to get up there and support for our goal. It was a great ball from Joe Cole and a good finish from Wayne Rooney.?</div>hmm....?!?!??!?
