This is the big one. If we are going to beat Chelsea it is this weekend. They haven't looked that impressive so far while we have been a class above everyone else. Considering that we always have our best form in the second half of the season, if we win this weekend I have would have the belief that we can do it. Losing may well mean giving Chelsea that confidence boost that propels their season. They havent hit their straps so far but they will eventually, with all that class in their squad it is inevitable they will. Lets hit the bastards while theyre down, tell him who the f**k is boss. Show them how real football is played. So much key battles this weekend. I have two main worries. One being Drogba. He is in some form right now and quite often Rio isnt up to it physically. Vidic will be Vidic but it is key that Rio fuckn steps up this weekend, show his bottle and show everyone the fuckn defender we all know he is. I also see them taking Scholes right out of the game with their four central midfielders. So I reckon we gotta play width. Luckily for us we have the two best wingers in the league while theyre havin all sorts of problems with their fullbacks. Ashley's been average whilst they have resorted to makeshift Geremi it seems for the time being on the right. Exactly what we need. Play with width, play Evra, and hit them hard. Lets fuckn thrash these b*****ds, and show every single person in the world the team we are.
A cracking game hopefully for the neutral. I hope Chelsea win so as Utd do not open up a gap at the weekend!
We are playing very poorly. United have got the better of us in every department to be honest. Upfront, Sheva and Drogba have been anonymous. The midfield is too flat and are unable to get the ball forward. The defence even looks shaky, dropping off players and giving the United front men too much time and space. Ballack doesn't look up for this game and I'd replace him at half time with Joey Cole/Robben. Then I'd bring Essien in with Lampard to break up the Man U dominance. Geremi & Carvalho look nervous. I just hope the second half brings about more attacking play from Chelsea: we were too deep in the first half and had no width. I fear that if a change isn't made at half time, United will walk away with this game. The psychological effect of a big loss to our arch rivals could be our undoing. So come on Chelsea! Let's show United and the rest of the world for that matter, how we can play. Cause if we don't we may well end up second best at the end of the season... Although TBO, I'd rather win the CL this season.
