<div align="center"><font size="1">Oscar Ustari Kompany | Raúl Albiol | Sergio Ramos Tomas Sivok Cardenas | Raul Garcia Joaquin | Nani | Vicente David Villa</font></div> <div align="left"><font size="1">Subs: Canizares, Ayala, Del Horno, Silva, Morientes, Guardado, Albelda</font></div> Pretty amazing for second season in La Liga if i may say so, hardest part was stealing Ramos from Madrid which although was only £15 million, it took his agent many sleepless nights to draw up contracts - damn that Ramos drives a hard bargin. So anywho care to rank my team? Any suggestions on improvements? Overall comments maybe?
Valencia are my FAV team on FM aswell. <3 I always tend to buy Richards from ManCity as he turns out to be amazingly good, I'd replace him with Sivok and maybe play Silva over Nani - both young and good. Guardado is also a rock, I managed to pick him with my Southend team the other day.
Nice team. Quite an adventurous formation too. My United team is a 4-4-2 with the two wingers going forward and works out sweet as hell. <div align="center">Ben Foster John Heitinga - Vincent Kompany - Nemanja Vidic - Marcelo Wayne Rooney - Michael Carrick - Wesley Sneijder - Cristiano Ronaldo Fernando Torres - Klass-Jaan Huntelaar</div> Subs: Martin Fulop (GK), Raul Abiol (D C/DM), Park Ji-Sung(AM RLC), Per Ciljian Skjelbred (AM RLC), Louis Saha (F C) Foster is an absolute rock in goal, Heitinga and Marcelo are cracking defenders and Marcelo is a dead ball specialist. Sneijder is cracking in 15/season from central midfield, Rooney and Ronny are getting 10 goals/season and about the same in assists. Torres is getting 30/season and Huntelaar gets about 20. Fulop is a young 'keeper from Spurs and is very dependable. Raul Abiol is a utility man, Skjelbred and Park play anwhere across the attack and Louis is a super-sub for me.
You leave Raul Abioll on the bench. His probably the best defender on the game, well much better then Kompany and Vidic atleast. What happend to Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, Rossi, Povic (think thats his name, young spanish defender) etc.?
Giggs and Scholes retired along with Gary Neville and Van Der Sar, Ferdinand got sold to Chelsea for £45m, Rossi played one season and I sold him to AC Milan for £20m and Pique (the name you're looking for) had such a bad attitude and was disrupting the team so I sold him back to Barca for £8m. Real Madrid offered £15m for Heinze so I took that. I've kept Giggs and Gary Neville on as youth coaches and Paul Scholes as a scout. Abiol is good but Vidic and Kompany are completely solid at the back for me. 0.3 goals per game being let in with those two as the regulars in front of Ben Foster.
Chelsea just never stop hounding players, rather funny. They offered me £24 then £38 then £49 then £84 million for David Villa - which at this point I accepted. In return managed to buy Torres, Rooney and Adriano. Later that season I sold Vicente to Inter for £34 million and Joaquin to AC for £41 million. Already had good backup for them in Guardado and Silva so replacing wasn't an issue, although with the extra cash I purchased Messi, Joe Cole and Fabregas. Best deal ever?
Yeah, Chelsea offered £15m and, I thought, to ward them off, I'd hike the price to £45m. Then they came back with a £45m bid and you just can't turn them down.
You played with anyone else besides United, yet? I'm thinking about giving Juventus a whirl, which should be good fun getting them back into Serie A. When you setup a new game do you allow all leagues or just the one you play in? I like seeing how Madrid, Inter, Chelsea etc. progress throughout the season and also gives better insight on players.
I've got three or four games on the go at the moment. Got the United game going, one as Brighton, one as Monaco and another as Villareal.
I get bored with one, I'll go to another and pick that one up until i get bored and then move along again. I always come back to the previous ones at some point and so on ... I'm on the brink of quitting Brighton though. I got them to the Prem in 4 seasons and they still won't give me any transfer money and won't let me sell any of the big name players to generate money for other signings.
Mainly older players or younger players picked up on frees or loans. Tijani Babangida helped quite a lot in attack and I managed to get Lassana Diarra and Pique on long-term loans and they really helped me get promoted. So did Jami Pustinnen.
Nice, I've been working my socks of as Valencia to try and get an English feeder club and its now starting to piss me off. I started off with Charlton but didn't want them so chucked that contract out the window in light of bagging a Man City deal, given their youth prospects and all. What feeder/(whats the other thing called?) have you got for Brighton?
I got Eastbourne Borough as a feeder club for Brighton but I was trying to become a feeder club for a big Spanish team just before I got promoted to the Championship.
