Just how much longer can F1. survive in it's present format? Surely it won,t be long before pressure from environmental groups or governments forces a change away from fossil fuels. Audi have proved you can win on diesel but, I would suggest that is not the way forward. I would have thought the teams should have started development of cars fueled by 'green' energy.
there are to many huge investers and sponsors to worry about what 22 f1 cars are doing to the enviroment.but it does need to change it's format as it does lack in entertainment.it's got a little better but the cars are so different to one another i.e.they should all use the same car[aerodynamics]and cap the amount of money that the big guns like ferrari are using.
It's funny the pollution caused by the cars in racing, testing and qualifying probably pales in comparison to the pollution caused by the air freight and private jets they use to to go to all these exotic destinations around the world. You are right though it would be good if the FIA could introduce a green incentive because the collective engineeering talent that resides in F1 could probably progress the technology significantly, and hopefully create something that could be used for production cars. I can't see anything too radical in the near future though. I think the oil giants would intervene on some level. Any 'green' move by the FIA will be some half baked idea like diesal or smaller engines
In a few years, theyre going to lower the amount of computers. how much the computers do. so it will be more of a test for the drivers skill instead of the intelligence of the computers. and theyre lowering the No. of races to 17 next year so less flying. also reven you should watch the A1 GP they all have the same car and its a battle of nations and driver skill. but i think F1 will last until we have flying car racing or something.
I hate it and it would be pointless going to an F1 event because you get to see the cars for a split second..
