I think this would be a nice topic: Name your top 5 Premiership transfer flops of recent times:
    1. Veron (once hailed as the greatest)
    2. Morientes
    3. Bramble
    4. Rochemback
    5. Kluivert
    What about you?

    1) owen- not sayin he's crap coz he's not. Newcastle were just unlucky with him bein injured

    2) Shevchenko- was a good signing for chelsea but not for 31M

Thats all my mind can think of right now

Jesus, give the guy atleast a season before you determine whether his a flop or not. Hardly any footballer coming from a foreign league plays 'AMAZING' the first season. [IMG]

How can Owen be a flop because he got injured? makes no sense.

    1. Juan Sebastian Veron
    2. Titus Bramble (How on earn he plays week in, week out is behind me, he is an awful defender.)
    3. Patrick Kluivert

That's all i can think of at the moment.

I can only add Mutu, Crespo, Smertin, Barthez, Cygan and Kleberson. In fact Mutu wasn't that bad but the cocaine affair made him a flop for Chelsea. I just wonder why all of you forgot about Barthez. Everytime I think of him, the 3-1 against ManUtd comes to my mind .. ;-)

Barthez, despite his mental moments and such, was actually a good, acrobatic keeper.

It's not like he's Massimo Taibi! [IMG]

Veron is deffo the biggest flop of recent times. Given he had two chances at two huge rival clubs, and well fucked them both up.

Mark Bosnich was kind of a flop when he moved to Manchester United (and then Chelsea)... he was n supreme form at Villa and why he left I never know.

Same can be said with Richard Wright (old Ipswitch keeper), he was in awsome form for Ipswitch and then he moved to Arsenal and BANG, earnshaw style shitness.
