I think they need a RB, Creative Mid, Winger and possibly a Striker though not all necessarily in January. We should only sign a 'topline' striker as anything less is not good enough. There current strikers all have the ability to be succecces... Kuyt, especially is still finding his feet and will be a revelation once properly settled. I don't agree with Neill coming to Anfield either! For me you have to break the bank to compete and that means signing Micah Richards, Giles Barnes, Jeremy Menez and David Villa. Richards and Villa will be BIG money but are good enough to justify the spend- Barnes and Menez should be well within your reach. Other options: Anthony VandenBorre, Darijo Srna, Dani Alves, Raul Garcia, Sergio Tejada, Nani, Karim Benzema, Fernando Torres. I don't know what the young Argentnian Insue that is arriving in Jan is like but if no good I think that Bale would also be a good signing as backup to Riise as Warnock prob won't stay.
Why have you got a Chelsea avatar and signature and still refer to Liverpool as 'we'? :S For sure we need another rightback, preferably someone better than Finnan, and having Villa would be great, aslong as he doesn't turn out to be the next Morientes. Giles Barnes is showing potential for sure and there are a few other clubs sniffing around him, would be nice to see him come to Liverpool.
We dont need a creative midfield as we have Gerrard, Alonso, kewell, Garcia and Pennant but a Goal machine we do need! Villa i would like but im happy with the 3 big bois, Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy although we do have Pongolle, Cisse out on loan and God on the bench.
Cisse if your best Striker, IMO. However I doubt Villa would join Liverpool over a pick of top european clubs, but cudoes if Liverpool sign him. Just keep in mind the Morientes flop.

This was actually a thread that I wrote on the BBC 606 page and someone has used as their own! For the record I am a huge Liverpool fan and have absolutely no allegiance to Chelski whatsoever!
