Good to see Man City back to winning ways, and now I know why. The improvement coincides with the release of the single Manchester City Blue by The Dandelion Clocks, a rehash of an old Blondie classic Union City Blue that The Sun reports Stuart Pearce having commissioned to motivate his players when running out of the tunnel. I saw the video on the Inside MCFC show and it is full of celebrity Cityfans including Ricky Hatton MBE, John Stapleton, Stuart Hall, Frank Sidebottom, Rick Wakeman, Mark Radcliffe and Moonchester. I got a signed copy from the City website, it's really cool : ) Apparently some Everton fans got approval from Blondie for a version called Mersey City Blue, but unlike Man City, the club didn't back the idea. Perhaps some other teams who have been going through bad patches should get their clubs to commission anthems. I wonder which club would best suit "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?" by Beck? Hmmm, let me think... See you in Europe!
