I see that a lot of Newcastle fans are already panicking about the lack of action by Glen Roeder, however, i feel that its time to take a step back and relax a few days. No big moves are going to happen in the first week of the window, we all knew that. I think that newcastle need to be very prudent in this window. If we go blowing 10m on one player, eg. Crouch, then we will be broke in the summer. I really hope that Crouch doesn't come in as he will only cause problems in the summer when Owen comes back. We don't need to end up in the situation that liverpool find themselves in with to many high profile strickers. If we sign crouch then we will have him, owen, oba, shola, sibs, dyer all playing for two spots and that will get nasty. that will be close to 200,000 in wages playing for those two places. However a stricker is crutical, someone like Collins John would have been nice, but the likes of Dave Nugent are out there and i think that he would be some good business at 5,000,000. We need to look at youth from the championship. I think that getting Bale should be the number 1 priority, mainly because our other LB are terrible. I also think that paying 4.5/5m for upson would be a nice little piece of business. We don't need to over pay for foriegn players that for sure. Im just asking for some patience, trust me i have as much invested in newcastle emotionally as the next fan, but we must be smart! Good luck in the window Glen
