It will be a really sad day for English football when one of the most colourful and charismatic characters in world football leaves Chelsea.I think that today at Anfield it looked as if Jose was ready to say goodbye to the Chelsea team and fans, normally after a defeat in which his team has given a drab performance he storms down the tunnel amongst a mixture of anger and disappointment and looks determined that he won't ever allow that to happen again but today he stayed behind made a point of shaking the hands of all the coaching staff of the opposition going to the extent of hugging Benitez, and we know the problems these two had with each other in the past, and then waiting for all the Chelsea players to walk up and shake his hand before finally applauding the travelling support and walk down the tunnel perhaps for the last time as Chelsea manager. I for one would be sad to see him go even though as a Liverpool fan I have had my fair share of bitter and sour experiences with Chelsea while Mourinho has been there. He has also made some unsavoury comments about different people and teams including Liverpool but, while other fans may have thought otherwise I never thought there was any malice involved,it was all mind games and perhaps a bit too much of an obsession to prove to others that he was the best around. I think Abramovich and the Chelsea board have let him down and that seems to have hurt him really deeply.I think even a person who has never watched a game of football in his life would have remarked upon watching his first ever game that the Chelsea backline is makeshift and I don't think that the so-called experts would have given a contradictory remark to that.We know that in the absence of Terry Chelsea have looked really vulnerable and Mourinho wanted some cover once the transfer window began but the board have proved that they are the snakes that the rest of the football world thought they were when they arrived at Chelsea. My apologies to all snakes
If he walks out after one defeat, good riddence to him. I don't think he wil, because that would be pathetic and it would show what a spoiled brat he is. I can't understand Chelsea, they are such babies. As soon as they get a couple of injuires, they throw all the toys out of the pram and start crying. Now they realise throwing money at problems doesn't solve anything.
I agree with the orginal post. JM is a top coach and anyone who says otherwise is deluding themelves. He does give the impression of a man who's headed abroad in the summer and I for one will be sad to see him go. Don't get me wrong...I don't like the bloke at all but you cannot deny his ability and oyr league is better off with him than without.
