The grass isn't always greener, no matter how much your wage packet goes up by, as these hapless Premiership footballers have discovered to their cost. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost?
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">1 Andriy Shevchenko (Chelsea)
Was revered as a demigod in the San Siro. Now he's not sure of a starting place against Wycombe Wanderers. The greatest fall from grace in recent football history? Probably.

    2 Albert Luque (Newcastle)
Swapped sunny Spain, where he was a promising international forward with a great career ahead of him, for the drizzly north-east. He's not waving, he's drowning.

    3 Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea)
Poor little SWP. From future England star to bench-warming failure, in one very expensive move. Mourinho clearly doesn't rate him ? probably because he's not a 6ft 2in monster, like most of his other players.

    Murphy
    4 Danny Murphy (Spurs)
Was an England international not so long ago (look, he was!). Now Murphy can't hold down a first-team place at the Lane. Doh.

    5 Robert Huth (Middlesbrough)
Out injured for ages and hasn't had a chance to settle at Boro. Mourinho, stuck with the most comical centre-back pairing in Premiership history (Essien/Ferreira), would kill to have the massive German cyborg back at the Bridge right now.

    6 Massimo Maccarone (Middlesbrough)
Boro paid more than ?8m to Empoli for Dr Evil in 2002. And what has he done in the last five seasons? Exactly. Now set to end his Riverside nightmare with a move to Siena.

    7 Damien Duff (Newcastle)
One word. Why? (As in, why on earth did Newcastle buy him?)

    8 Gabriel Paletta (Liverpool)
Started f**k-all games for Liverpool and had an absolute shocker when Arsenal stuffed them 6-3 at Anfield in the Carling Cup. The young Argentine defender should have stayed in South America for a couple more seasons, as he's clearly not ready to adapt to the demands of the Prem. Oh well, you live and learn.

    9 Marcus Bent (Charlton)
Did pretty well at Everton, until they decided to get shot of him. Has been totally anonymous at Charlton.

10 Carlos Tevez/Javier Mascherano (West Ham)
Tevez has fared much better than Mascherano (not saying much), who is somehow still wanted by Liverpool. Either way, the whole affair has been a debacle.</div>Thoughts?
