Picture the scene, you're walking past the local jobcentre, and hanging around outside are the usual deluge of uneducated chavs. There are 3 of them together (aged between about 18 - 22) who've just walked out of the centre and are unchaining their bikes from the railings just in front. One of them makes a disrespectful comment aimed at you that makes you angry. What do you do?

Now I am not a violent man and in my 22 years on this earth I have NEVER went up to a total stranger and said anything to hurt their feelings or disrespect them, let alone threatened violence to them. I just don't understand why you would do that. I wouldn't consider myself to have ever been in a real fight before as I usually stay out of trouble and I don't go looking for it.

The one who shot his mouth off was smaller in size than me and I wouldn't really justify fighting someone I knew I could destroy but he had two mates with him one of which one was almost as tall as me at about 6 foot so I thought that evened it up. I'm a reasonable fella so I told the gobby one to apologise but he refused and gave me even more abuse. So I pushed him to the ground, his mate who was about the same height as me joined in so I winded him in the stomach (self defense) and the other one was a bit shellshocked so didn't do anything. Then I walked off pretty sharpish as I could see the job centre security guard was taking a bit of interest in what was happening.

Sometimes I think you've just got to teach people manners, and if you don't do it who will right? Chavs terrorise urban areas up and down the country and they've got to learn respect for other people. So do you think I was right in sticking up for myself and not taking any shit? Or should I have just walked away? My mother saw my hand was a bit bruised and red so asked me why and she was horrified with me resorting to 'violence'. But I reasoned that they'll feel it for a few days but they won't have any lasting damage except maybe they'll think twice before trying to pick on people again just so they can feel big and hard in front of their mates.

Normal people don't have too much of a chance if the law lets scum get away with most things. [IMG]

I personally would have walked away, due to 3 of them being there.

Talking about chav scum, don't you hate the f*ckers who play music on their phone without ear phones, so everyone can hear their sh*te music on the bus this tw@t decides to play the sh!t music, so I ask him politley to turn it off, or get some fecking earphones, he refuses and threatens to "bang" me out so I say to him, we will sort this out at the next stop. So I get off, and the bus goes passed, and he stuck his finger up at me. And all I was thinking on my long walk back home was that they're all mouth and no action. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

If anything you did too little, trust me if you'd shown 'em what for they'd not have done that to a total stranger in a long time.
How disrespectful was the comment he made? [IMG]
