Other football fans come on here and bring up, ad nauseam, the "Arsenal fielding foreigners" debate but if you look critically at the England national squad, which obviously is supposed to represent the cream of English talent, the simple fact of the matter is that there is virtually no one from an English XI who would improve Arsenal. Forget the fact that English players are expensive. They are generally just not good enough. Our performance in major tournaments since 1966 is testament to that.
