You have to believe that Micheal Vick is it next year. Strong seconds have to be Clinton Portis and Priest Holmes, but Vick is the man. I really can't think of a better pay-off for your number one pick. NUMBER ONE
It's awfully early, but if I had to pick now, I would probably pick Priest Holmes or LaDainian Tomlinson. That could change depending on how the draft and free agency goes. I would be too worried about Michael Vick getting hurt to draft him first overall.
Id say Tomlinson just because they dont have a lot of other weapons and you know hes gonna get 300 carries and 100 catches....of course, throw a rookie QB in there and things might look different
I can't believe Ahman Green isn't even mentioned. This guy does it all. I think it would be a toss up for me between LT2 & Green.
The Priest did me right this year, but I know I won't be so lucky as to get the #1 pick 2 years in a row. If I do though, you can bet your bottom dollar that Holmes will be the first signee on the 2004-05 defending Champion Kansas City Cougars!
The risk factor on Holmes grows exponentially every season from here on out. Some poor sap will draft him either next year or the following year and he'll be a bust. Just as you can count on the passing of time, you can count on this happening. Marshall Faulk has never rebounded from his 'down' year, Eddie George has never rebounded, they just get old.
Ahman green is without a doubt a fantasy football number 1 pick. I love clinton portis but man he missed alot of games this year due to a chest bruise, ankle, knee problems. he missed 5 games. I cant see him beating out green, tomlinson and of course priest. Everyone can use a priest in there holme anyways lol.

(see: Marshall Faulk)
I would take manning i think he lights league on fire next year, i will just be chanting burn, baby, burn
What down year would that be? This years 27 TD campaign? I do think Saunders eased up on his carries some, but the guy clearly knows how to find the goalline. Vermeil says Priest will be more productive next season with a full season between him and the hip injury. I can live with the lower yardage totals this year with my 27 TDs and the Bowl win. Whoever gets the $1 pick...Don't be a fool...Take the Priest! (Or leave him for me again, Yeah, that's the ticket!)
Holmes has not had a down year, but it is just a 'matter of time'. He's aging and it might not be 2004, but it will be within 2 years. The guy cannot keep a 27 TD pace forever. Someone will take a risk and just like Russian Roulette..... *bang*
