Manchester United, the greatest football club on earth. Unparalelled success in the Premiership since its inception, multiple Prem & FA Cup doubles, even a treble! And now riding high again with new young blood on our books in the shape of Rooney & Ronaldo.

But what does the future hold for a team so undeniably successful under Sir Alex? He masterminded and groomed a team of young players in a much similar way to Matt Busby, with the likes of Beckham, the Neville's, Scholes & Giggs. These players have defined, and been largely responsible for, the success of United over the past decade and when they have retired it will be a very different place. Add that to the retirement of Alex Ferguson and what are we left with... Rooney, hopefully Ronaldo (though I cant see him staying if the ever ignorant supporters of rivals clubs keep booing him because they need some scapegoat to blame for our capitulation at the World Cup.

IMO, Man U need to start investing in their future rather than looking to waste another ?20mil on Hargreaves. (And before I get slaughtered by 606 Hargreaves lovers, I love him too, I think he's an awesome player and would thoroughly recommended him for Utd if we'd not signed Carrick already for a similar amount.) We've seen what Arsenal's youngsters can do already, think of that team in 2 or 3 years. And Liverpool have been taken over now, and with the quality of their young players (Craig Lindfield, Jack Hobbs, Paul Anderson etc) they have a bright future also.

MU need to start thinking seriously about the long run. Sahin or Mata would be good replacement for scholes, both energetic AM's capaple of great things. Ideally, Richards would be a dream to replace Neville, though this will never happen given the intense Manchester rivalry. And to replace Giggs, it has to be Aiden McGeady.

Money will always be available with the glazers in charge surely. You have the biggest ground in the premier league and are genertaing 2 million every home game. I think the future looks very bright for Man Utd

Aiden McGeady already was ask to play with United as a kid and declined them so he could play with Celtic but there will be some other left winger out there plus McGeady is too greedy with the ball and aint as good as Ronaldo shall we say but i think United are going win the Premiership twice, the F.A Cup once and Carling Cup once before 2010
