Arsene has been critizised recently for not fielding enough English players and for not 'contributing enough to English Football'. The English National Team seems to be in a little trouble lately and although we have some world class players there seems to be no cohesion when we play. We are also often accused of being a little technically inferior to teams like:Brazil,Spain,Argentina, France etc.. Arsenal play the best passing football in the league and this is down to Wenger's meticulous approach to training, and the deveopment of technical skills at Arsenal. I love the Premiership but the type of football the likes of Chelsea, Bolton, Liverpool, Everton etc...(half the league)play does not really benefit The Young English Players who come through, because the ones that do come through the ranks seem to be big, strong, good athletes but technically not up there with youth players coming out of Spain, France, Netherlands etc.. Even though Arsenal have come under fire for not having enough Englishman the truth is we have more players in Englands U17,U19,U20 and U21's than any other team. This can only be a good thing because if there is one manager who's capable of getting the best out of these young players its Arsene Wenger. He could well be Englands Saviour.
Now that Stuart Pearce has taken on the U21 job part time while still managing Man City, would Arsene consider doing the same for the full international post? Lets face it, a fraction of AW is worth countless mclarens!
I disagree, AW wouldn't have enough time to train and develop these players. All you can REALLY do as an England coash is pick the team and formation... There are LOTS of better English managers at doing those two things then AW. But Mclaren is not one.
