Where ever we end up at the end of this season, what Spurs will need to do is concentrate and avoid the mistake of this season. Basically to ensure we have a STRONG enought squad to cover the first team, feel this has been our biggest downfall, so far this season. During our early season European games, there were NO major injuries to cope with the squad was strong, but a few injuries to key players in recent months, and we find ourselves struggling to field half decent teams. Get rid of the dead wood, and with all due respect the foreign players who CAN'T cut it in the premiership. Everyone goes on about British players costing too much, but it seems a waste of time to buy these foreign players who are not going to make the grade. There's plenty of players out there already PROVEN in the premiership. Here a list of potential buys who shouldn't cost the earth, after all we paid ?8 million for Zokora and look how that has worked out so far. Possiblities -: Defenders - Wayne Bridges, Micah Richards, Steve Finan,Glen Johnson, Gareth Barry, Midfielders - Kevin Nolan, Tim Cahill,Joey Barton, Scot Parker, Steve Sidwell,Nigel Reo-Coker, Joe Cole, Forwards - Morton Gamst Pederson, Dean Ashton, Darren Bent, but to name a few. Or do a Arsenal or Man u, and introduce the up and young coming players from the reserves - O'Hara, Barnard, Ifil, Lee, etc. Just a thought, what do you think ?
It will cost a whack of cash for Micah Richards because of his potential. Kevin Nolan will cost around 6 Million. Reo-Coker will cost around 6 Million too. Cant see Chelsea letting Joe Cole go for less than 13 Million Darren Bent will cost around 8 Million Dont think Tottenham have enough funds to sign some of those players
