Ferguson & Ruud: The Manager's Unstable

All of the senseless reactionary bashing of Ruud Van Nistelrooy in the wake of his comments condemning Alex Ferguson's behaviour in dumping the striker is incredibly short-sighted.

It's not far-fetched to suggest that Ferguson has major psychological problems. His "hair-dryer" mode of blasting players and his sudden rejection of Van Nistelrooy, Tim Howard, Fabien Barthez, and David Beckham (and the list goes on) highlights a serious crisis of human personnel management. Ferguson doesn't know how to communicate properly, and is fearful of any challenge to his authority.

Many people claim that the record of success speaks for itself. But look at the comparative lack of success and team instability in recent years! It's the harvest of Ferguson's aggressive approach to human relations, and a stark contrast to Arsene Wenger's less inflammatory, more enlightened approach which has delivered stronger results in recent times.

I'm no Arsenal fan - I grew up in Tottenham. But it's long overdue for Ferguson's defenders to acknowledge that he's actually set a profoundly poor example for football managers and people in general. The man needs psychotherapy badly. The price of being Ruud to him is simply too high.

Yes that's why we are top of the league.

    Why are people so stupid.

We are playing the best football since '99 if not as good or even better. We are top of the league. We have no regrets.

Tim Howard was okay for the first half of his first season then flopped
Fabien Barthez was good but then started making too many mistakes
Beckham and Van Nistelrooy just had personal problems with the manager

And Man Utd are top of the league

seems Man utd's players have commitment problems. With the exception of a few players e.g. Neville and Scholes. i can imagine SAF pushing his players to their upmost limits. then, when the players get burnt out they get mad at SAF and leave. needs to take some lessons from Arsene lol
