Since we're all playing and enjoying FM 2007 I thought this might be a good topic to make.

Here's my list in no particular order:

<ul>
[*] More realistic transfers, even with the latest patch not a transfer window goes by that this doesn't happen:
1. <font size="1">I make an offer for a player (for this example, let's say 8 Million GBP).</font>
2. <font size="1">The team refuses it (no matter what time frame I give them to think it through).</font>
3. <font size="1">I do an "enquiry"</font>
4. <font size="1">They offer to sell him to me for less money than I originally offered (usually 2 or so million GBP less, and always with 25% or so up front and the rest in installments?). [IMG]</font>
The CPU managers really don't seem to understand bartering!

<ul>
[*]The J-League. Yes there's no shortages of leagues to play. Yes I've had a lot of fun playing in leagues from England to Spain to Russia to Norway to Hungary but there's something about managing a J-League team that's tempting... I don't hold a lot of hope out for #2 as I know it would cost an arm a leg and a kidney to get the rights. [IMG]
More as I think of them, what would you like to see new in FM 2007?

realistic finances ..

i know it wont be easy to play with less money, but i made £224m in one season from merchandising .. its ridiculous ..

do clubs really make that sort of money ??

Highlights in 3d would be nice but i definitely dont want FM to turn into LMA Manager which isnt any good.

More team talk options.

Other than that i cannot think of much.

Here's some ideas for the FM creators to look into:
1. Every 4 years you can change your home kit colour, and every season can you change your away kit.
2. More upgrades, we currently have youth, training and stadium. So how about abilty to pick were you want new stands, under soil heating, burger bars and all that crap. (okay lets not turn this into some theme-park spinoff, but you get my jist).
3. At the end of each season the top 10 mangers (points from that specific season), get to cast a vote from 10 of the top players, for player of the year. This could also be how the other awards are handed out, instead of auto. (Would mae a good feature for multiplayer).
4. I notice the German and Holland national teams never showed there squad players, perhaps sort whatever copyright issue that is out.
5. I could never get a staff member who's nationality was from Asia, sort that out please.
Thats all of the Football Manager changes I can think of right now.

They need to get stats more spot on. The in game interface needs to have more variables. Sometimes no matter what you do you cant beat a team just because they have better players.

Change the fonts i hate the current FM07 one. And perhaps a more realistic sounds, like shouting from the touchline, or record real crowd sounds to make it more realistic, post-match interviews before and after the game, more team-talk options and better statistics, and germany and holland to be sorted out.

I like your Ideas also real team songs only for the Major teams in it though like United would sing " Take me home United Road " " United, United, United " Liverpool would sing " Steven Gerrard " (k-Sara) " You'll Never Walk Alone " etc...

Computer offers more for a player than you do ... I dont know if this happens with anyone but me but for example lets say I had Cristiano Ronaldo who was valued at 40M and he was Listed... Computer would come in with around a 36.5M bid... But when Computer players seem to be 2.5M I have to pay around 8/9.5 M just to get him... Even if I had a player for 2M the computer would bid in around 1.2M

I think 3D highlughts would make it unrealistic IMO

It is a good idea but im not sure if it will work tbh.

LOL. But the highlights might be too repetitive and it will slow the game down.

Yeah i suppose so but add that to all the database in there and it would be lot for computers which arnt that good. But the highlights may be repetive and less realistic to the game like previous ones such as LMA which is shite.

Well first of all more interaction with the chairman and not a set transfer budget, you have to identify players and tell your chairman and he does all the work so that maybe you could spend 20 million with a team like city do well and not need a player and spend 1 million the next season.

Also I'd like you to have to pick a squad for each game for example you pick 18 players to go down to London and play Arsenal and then you go straight to Lyon and ask 2 of your players who have recovered to meet you there, you know like United did.

I'd like to see more kits aswell you change your kit and your kit sponsor no necessarily colours maybe away but like 3 kits comme up and you choose one for the next season.

Press conferences with your new players saying like "he's going to have to force his way past Carrick and Scholes but he will be very important"

Assign a captain so when you takeover say at Manchester United you release an announcment saying that Rio Ferdinand is the new captain.

Be able to tell your potential signings your plans to get them to sign, say your Preston and your aim is to get promoted and you want he to be the heatbeat in the midfield.

there are lots of improvements that can be made to make the game so realistic and I just can't wait.

Be able to shout things from the sidelines like lads keep calm and specific things like run at the left back, youve got 5 mins or your off and be able to talk to your subs, like tell him that you need a goal and he's the one to get it

Yeah, in-game commands would really help. The half time/full time chats were a great addition and can really turn the tide of a game, and I feel this would help more.
