When Perez left Real Madrid the fans breathed a sigh of relief, the Galatico era which had produced no trophies in 3 years seemed to be over. Perez had sacked so many managers but after crashing out of the Copa Del Rey he finally sacked the man most resonsible for the crisis- himself. Real Madrid fans wouldn?t have guessed that in February 2007 they would be in exactly the same place.

Perez was a control freak he bought Beckham, Ramos, Robinho, Ronaldo and Owen all joined. He controlled team selection, Managers went in and out as quickly as dry cleaning, things at Real weren?t good and they went 3 years without a trophy and in February 2006 Perez resigned as President.

After a few months of promises, arguments and Media speculation Ramon Calderon became President of Real Madrid he bought in Fabio Capello as manager and quickly helped him sign Cannavaro, Emerson, Diarra and Nistelrooy and Reyes joined on loan. Capello was a proven manager and things looked up for Real Madrid.

However now things aren?t as good Real Madrid fans are furious that Calderon has broken his promises over who he?d bring to the club with Arjen Robben, Cesc Fabregas and Kaka yet to arrive. Capello?s team have crashed out the cup and some of his signings have failed to perform, he?s fallen out with Cassano and Ronaldo- With the latter leaving for Ac Milan.

The fans hate Capello, they hate Calderon. They want to see entertaning football not boring mediocre football which is what is on display at the Bernabue at the moment. So are Real Madrid just a club in transistion or is time up for Capello and Calderon?
