On the pitch the game wasn't that great, but giggsys goal was just what we needed to grind out the result. Perfectly legal goal as im sure most will agree (im sure mr henry's scored a couple of them!) when henry first did it you can see why managers etc weren't happy, because it was a relatively new thing that had be done (still legal in the law tho so of course it should stand) but what im saying is managers and so forth have known about this rule for a long time now, the players are always asked if they want the whistle. anyway here's to a better game at OT!

not the sort of performance thats going to get united to the final, you have to have more confidence to play the ball along the ground, especially as the compeition will get very much harder for you

with rooney you always have a chance though, nice run at the end, but poor finishing last night by giggs and rooney

strange to think rooney aint scored a champ league goal since his debut against fenerbache....begs the question, is he really that good...seems to struggle against technically sound opponents...personaly i think he is overated.

i think its another case of being built up to be something hes not, which is a shame because he is a world class talent. But in the space of 3 seasons, which is nothing, hes gone from being an everton prodigy to being the only hope england have got of winning a major trophy. hes had no time to mature. david moyes tried and tried to keep him under wraps, nurture the talent, let him progress at his own pace. man u come in with a silly bid (28 million) and put him on a world stage before hes ready. his debut in europe maybe his own downfall, yes showed what hes capable of...but not every week...but man u fans acted like it was the second coiming or something...remember the headlines? "PELE II" it was hilarious! hes a quality player, but nowhere near as good as people make him out to be...best thing everton ever did was sell him. poor lad.

dont change the subject Random_Butter just because your Jealous of wayne rooney's talent. We didnt hype him up...it was all the England fans. We not he is not going to be a all time great but we are happy that he is in our team and dont care what any other fans say.

Don't worry Butter, he aint that good at arguing and never makes valid points. Rooney at the moment is over rated and i'm not seeing potential. All he did was score a few goals against switszerland and all of a sudden people think he is world class. Man Utd are going to get in a habbit of HAVING to have Rooney in their team.

I am sorry... i just get annoyed when people slack off Rooney when he hasnt been that bad. I noticed that other people have said that same as you so i do apologize for that.
