I don't understand this stuff. McNair gets so many people crying and pleading his case and all he does is show up and play o.k. in games. I'm sick and tired of hearing all the stooges that think this guy is a top NFL passer. Firts off, I could have a high QB rating if my offensive line blocked like that. Secondly, his recieving corps played like gang busters this year. Mason, McArriens, Bennett, and Calico all contributed. Peyton Manning deserves sole posession of the MVP this year and the only two people that could even come close to a tie should be Tom Brady or Priest Holmes.

    Gogo,

I think mcnair gets people crying his case cause the man like it
or not is a iron man. I remember 3 or 4 seasons ago the man
had surgery on his back during the season, only to be back 1
    week later and playing.

Mcnair hasnt made a probowl ever despite his decent numbers.
This year will be his first one after being passed up so many years.
Mcnair this year has been one of the reasons why the titans have
had a wonderful year, due to eddie george losing a step and the non
running game in tennesee he always finds the open man.
Whether its mason, mccareins, drew bennett, tyron calico or kinney
he finds them open for 6.

This is why many nfl experts and coaches feel he is a mvp this year.

Great points but did you see how much that offense suffered when Volek and O'Donnell played? Oh wait...... They did just fine. Steve Fragile McNair is one of the better QB's in the league but I still dont feel hes MVP worthy. But this isnt probably the week I should be talking bad about McNair.

I love it how people call McNair fragile... Outside of Favre, he's the toughest QB in the league.

It's not like he's Chris Chandler or anything... That's a good point.

hes fragile, he falls he gets hurt, he makes big deals about playing with small injuries. i mean comeone mike mckenzie played with turf toe, mcnabb played with a broken thumb and his leg still wasnt healed, farve is a real warrior. the real tough guys are the ones that do it with getting attention for it unlike mcnair. ok 50% of the attention was salisbury kissing his ass when he didnt have mike vick to suck up to but still just play. i bet over 60% of the NFL starters have played with the same injuries or worse than mcnairs.

What did McNair do to warrant that attitude? I didn't realize he lobbied ESPN for more attention. So because the media has played him one way, you're going to pigeonhole him?

I think McNair is finally getting credit that he's deserved over the past few seasons and to see it met with such dislike is amazing to me.

Dawk, i dont know if you know or not but mcnair has been playing with dislocated
finger all year. He has a partial break in fibula or ankle. And his calf they say is
the real problem close to achillies tear just as painful. I dont think mcnair is faking
anything like i said he had 2 disc in his back operated on 3 or 4 seasons ago and came back 1 week later. To me thats tough as nails.

Being fragile is not an insult, its the best adjective I can come up with to explain McNairs injury history. We all know he can play through injurys and be effective at the same time and that would in my opinion make him tough also, lets see what webster thinks.

Fragile- to break, easily broken or damaged, delicate :::picture of Steve McNair:::
Tough- that will bend with out tearing or breaking :::picture of Eddie George:::

im not takin anything away from AIR MCNAIR sometimes i think his bones are as thin as air BUT anyway, he gets hurt as much o probabl more than any other starting NFL Player but gets a lot of attention for it. hes not tough, hes injury prone. if he was tough hed be like edde george like glenso said.

BTW mcnabb played with a broken thumb, and 2 things wrong in both his legs. i forget with, and im not saying hes tough either im just saying.

Mcnair gets the attention is cause the media wants a story.
I take mcnair on my team anyday, if the man plays thru those
injurys he's one tuff sob. I can say 95 percent of the qbs with
mcnairs injurys wouldnt be playing sundays unless its favre.

Holy cow Glenso...you really brought this up from the grave. [IMG] Way to go.

McNair is having a horrible year. Even when he is in the game, he's horrible. It looks like he is another QB who needs the strong cast around him to be even a moderate QB.

I think McNair has progressed enough that he is no longer just a mobile QB but still is not a complete QB.

You know the media will still be on his bandwagon & every mobile QB that comes along.

Give me Tom Brady, Joey Harrington, Grossman, or even Hasselbeck over McNabb, Vick, or McNair.

If Daunte Culpepper keeps playing the way he's playing, he's going to win the MVP award this year in a walk.
