And again Newcastle lose. 1-0 to Wigan, admittedly Wigan were the far more superior team but Newcastle had there fair share of chances and managed to miss them.

Obafemi Martin's had a glancing header which never troubled Filan on his line, and there where some other good chances (can't remember them all!)

The main point of the match was on the half hour mark where Newcastle got a penalty. Nobby Solano took the penalty, and as you can imagine... Filan makes himself equal to it another great chance goes begging.

Now, I'm not so bothered about missing the penalty (well I am, but that isn't the point I'm trying to make here), but I was bothered about the person who took the penalty, Nobby Solano. One question... Why?! Why not Obafemi Martins? He's the forward, the man who practices penalties and scoring goals for a living, why not him?!! But as we all know the Newcastle captain (Scott Parker) allows Solano to take it!!! Newcastle need serious tactical lessons, not just with penalties but with the team line up as well... the list is too long to mention (Please look at the injury list, that is, if you have a spare half an hour in your life)

It seems to me that the "almighty" Glenn Roeder has run out of ideas, and it's getting worse. Newcastle lack tactical play, it's all hit and hope.

I feel Roeder has under-achieved considering the stadium size and the players you have!

Newcastle cant go to the easy away games and win like the teams above them in the league can.
