17 year old Theo Walcott showed last week, in the Carling Cup Final just how well he can play, however today against reading he had annother average performance.

How come Walcott has no consistancy? One day he's brilliant, scoring in the Carling Cup final, the next he cant play for jack!

Is it because he is too nervous?
Is it because he feel he is not good enough?
Is it because he needs a rest?
Or is it because his injury is starting to slow him down?

I think it's a combination of his inexperience and his injury. He was scheduled to leave for the season after the CC final but because of strikers being thin on the ground Henry and RVP injured. Adebayor suspended, Baptista mis-firing and aliadiere just returning to footall!

Why is Wenger even playing him? Keep him in the reserves, train him up. To become big he dont have to play ever game. He wont fill his potential that quick.

hes knocked off the ball to easily, he isnt strong enough thats the main reason, if he can get the ball past a defender then he does well, but if he has to get past the defender hes going to lose the ball.

You can't expect a 17 year-old with a bright future to be amazing. People slag him off for going to the world cup but Ronaldo went to 1994 and didn't play a game and he's now the World cup's most prolific scorer!
