Like many others, I'm not quite satisfied with the quality of Chelsea's overall performance this season. But we must give credit and respect where it is due. Obviosly we are all aware of injury crisis Chelsea had to cope with. Peter Cech, John Terry, Robben, Joe Cole to name a few. Most top teams in Europe would definately struggle with those kind of key injuries. Reflecting back on the season shows me Chelsea possessess major resolve. I mean, they were trailing Aresenal in Carling Cup final and came back to win 2-1. I dont buy the fact it was a young Arsenal team, beacause they crushed Liperpool and Tottenham on their way to the final. Chelsea trailed both legs of Champions league to Porto, and still came back to win. In the league, they trailed both Arsenal and Man U and fought back to earn draws. I really do admire the strength and resolve even if the quality is not quite there. If you look at Barca, they had 1 real test so far and just like that they are home. Inter milan is having an amazing season and faced 1 real test at Valencia and whiffed. You get the drift. Chelsea seem to have that mentality of a champion. Champions win games they have no business winning. Losers lose game they have no business losing (west ham).. Whats your thought?
There's no reason we shouldn't win it. Mind you I take my hat off to the scousers. As for Manure and Arsenal, I would be more than happy to meet them in the next round.
To be fair, you got another lucky equaliser today just like against us in the carling cup final. But you do have good resolve, i just knew you'd still win even after porto scored. Your performance at the nou camp also showed it. Grudging Congratulations
