Now before most of those ardent Liverpool fans jump to the defence of their team, take time to realise that I'm only voicing an opinion and not looking to insult the establishment that is Liverpool FC. However, it has come to my attention over the last 2 years or so that the media seem to push Liverpool into the limelight above all other English sides. Why do I say this, you may wonder? My explanation is quite simple. For one only has to listen to radio five live and watch the commentary of both the BBC and ITV in Liverpool matches; quick to highlight the good in their performances but dare not criticise the deficiencies in their play. Case in point was tonight's champion's league tie on ITV. I was so annoyed by the commentator over hyping Liverpool's performance that I decided to add a dose of realism to my football night by switching over to the Chelsea vs Porto match. If you think I'm worng about my views than fair enough, but I feel I'm not alone in my thinking when I say that the media desperately want Liverpool to return to their glory days rather than noticing the growth and emergence of other sides such as Chelsea, Manchester Utd and Arsenal. Your views please!?!?
If you watched the game, you will see, defensivley we were almost perfect. And on the attack we were very good too. We deserved to win. And if you wonder why it's overhyped. Two biggest clubs in the worls facing each other?

Bias towards liverpool?? nah if anything they r immensly biased to man u. You watch a match on sky sports wiv andy gray commentating and its almost routine for him to bnig up man u n slag off the teams playin. When chelsea played liverpool all andy gray could comment on was the visit of man u to anfield and how the pace would b quicker etc. I think liverpool were the best club in england and should rightfully be the most respected but at the moment, wel their league form is woeful yet rafa seems to always get it right in the cl. Maybe when chelsea do the treble this year people will realise we are now the greatest team in england (not in the league tho at the mo man u r cheatin dere way to that title) and wel arsenal although they play the far superior football dey cant win. For example the last few rounds of the FA Cup they have shown man Utd at prime time on each ocassion, even though there is a bigger match elsewhere. I think the BBC do it to get Fergie back to speaking to them SkySports are the same.

The reason the drunken 1 doesn't talk to the BBC is because of the bung allegations thrown at him and his agent son a couple of years ago, the same reason Fat Head Sam won't talk to them now. Red Nose alky and his son was sorting out loads of deals at United between them and obvious to the world skimming off the top(I have to put allegedly here). Eg Ronaldo was a done deal going to Liverpool under Houllier for around 5 mil .The portugese slipper's agent was touting him all over europe for that price.Suddenly the club rang Liverpool to tell them the deal was off because United had gazumped them . Now Liverpool asked how much by and when told 12 mil (correct me if i'm wrong) they couldn't believe it. And guess who was the agent acting on behalf of Man U . Thats right shitty pants' son. United was also investigated on I think the heinze ,saha and a couple more deals which his son was involved in. At 1 point Slur Alex tried to get the up and coming kids to sign up with his sons agency Funnily enough Sir drinkalots son is no longer employed by United as an agent. All this was released in a programme by the BBC so thats why he won't talk to them .ALLEGEDLY. Also he thinks the BBC are biased towards Liverpool you couldn,t make that last bit up its that ridiculous cos the BBC are manc sucking wankers and any employee that doesn't fawn over them will no longer get a job in tv. ITV does the same(that goes for you Mr Beglin)
Yes there was bias but they played good there is no doubt about it. There is always going to biased opinions in football where its from the Media, Fans or the Club its self. There will be more in the future
you know, i didnt think there was a person with less knowledge of football than y2kyle but obviously im wrong. i did type loads of things, but i thought why try to reason with an idiot. fact of the matter, depending what you watchign and who your watching depends on the commentators, but we can safely say that liverpool dont deserve any of the good things said where as man u do because they are top and playing well. god knows why you want to criticise a scot for drinking. bet you probs are a yank because most english people know better
