Dennis Green isn't one of my favorite coaches and that may be because of his questionable character. However, if he has matured and stays out of trouble, then this may be the move that the Cardinals needed to make. Dennis Green has won a lot of ballgames. The Cardinals haven't and want to. What kind of trouble can he get into out in the desert?
Putting aside his personal problems, he is an interesting coach. He has a great offensive mind, but defense is lacking. He is average at best in the draft. He is a "players coach" because he is not hard on them, and that works for and against him. Overall I think he is a good guy to get Arizona back on track, but i'm not sure he can be a long term coach. Eventually the players won't be motivated by him anymore... I'll give him four years and a nice turnaround before it starts to get ugly again. My .02
I just heard, on NFL Live, that Sean Salisbury is going to interview with Dennis Green for the QB coaching position. I hope he gets it because he annoys the crap out of me on ESPN. Now when is someone going to offer Joe Theismann a job? Please!!!
I'll be happy to see Salisbury gone, more often than not when I turn on to watch that show hes yelling at a DB for not turning around and playing the ball.
